Welcome

The Hematology and Medical Oncology course that physicians across the country and around the world have come to rely on for clear and concise standards of care and best practices is back in 2009! Under the direction of Robert S. Siegel, MD, The George Washington University Medical Center is again assembling the best team of opinion leaders from hematology and oncology research institutions, training programs and clinical care facilities in the United States and Canada.

These experts will convey to participants the best practices and supporting evidence-based science in their individual disciplines through didactic presentations, interdisciplinary panel discussions, and evening case-based question and answer sessions.

Participants will leave the course exhausted but with a deeper understanding of not only the therapies and disease states that they have seen in their practices, but also those therapies and disease states to which they have not yet been exposed. Participants can choose to attend either the five-day hematology course, the five-day overlapping oncology course or the combined and comprehensive eight-day hematology/oncology course.

All participants are provided with:

  • 1,400- to 2,000-page syllabus containing paper copies of speaker slides.

  • Access to all didactic presentations for their respective course.

  • Access to all evening case-based question and answer sessions for their respective course.

  • Post-course password-protected access to all speaker slides for their respective course.

  • Daily continental breakfast, mid-morning and mid-afternoon refreshment breaks.

  • Daily lunch.

  • Discounts on purchase of DVD recordings of all presentations that will be captured at the 2009 course.
